We just got the news - vox.io is one of the winners of Seedcamp London 2011 and will become part of the awesome Seedcamp family.
The Event
As we announced in our previous blog post, vox.io was selected as one of the 20 teams that got the chance of pitching in front of a huge number of high quality mentors. We flew to London and spent a great week there, getting to know brilliant people from a myriad of fields.
We think our friends from Garmz have summed up Seedcamp really well:
A super-highway of networking, mentoring-sessions, masterclasses & panel-discussions. All put in place to give young companies the right spin when entering the market and in setting up their further strategies.
The driving speed on this super-highway is super-fast. In a single day of Seedcamp London, we had to pitch our idea & product several times, were challenged from people with top experience, and got a lot of feedback that will help us move vox.io forward. We’ve met people from most top internet companies - Google, Facebook, Groupon, SoundCloud - just to mention a few.
We’ve also made some new startup friends - Huikea from Finland, GrabCAD from Estonia, Bipsly, Blooming from Italy and others (for a full list of superb teams check Seedcamp’s blog post). Finally, kudos to the Seedcamp team (Saul, Reshma, Carlos, Philipp and Jakob) for creating a great event, inviting top people and pulling everything off with a smile on their faces.
What does this mean for vox.io?
Becoming part of the Seedcamp family of startups will enable us to move even faster towards delivering our vision. This is a starting point for us, a validation of our work so far, and a “badge” we plan to honor. We will keep working hard on our product and you can expect even more cool things from us in the near future. Rock on!
