During this unusually hot European summer, we have been busy improving vox.io and creating a smoother calling experience. There are several tiny parts of vox.io that were updated in the past few weeks, and we’d like to point of two particular features that we think you’ll really enjoy.
Text messages (SMS)
Many of you told us that you’d like to have the option to communicate via text in addition to voice and video.
We are happy to announce the introduction of vox.io SMS functionality. We see this as the first step in making it really simple to communicate before a call or to simply let your friends know what you are up to. As usual with vox.io, we have been very focused on those tiny details that make your experience as good as it gets.

All the text messages you send (except for those sent to the U.S.) will be sent using your own phone number, making it easy for your friends to get back to you by simply replying to you with their phone, and you will then receive their reply on your mobile.
Moreover, we will be introducing more means of text-based communication soon, and as always, we would love to hear any of your ideas.
Calls sound better with you
We are striving to improve the vox.io communication network every day, making your calls sound and feel better. We know that there is a long road to perfection, but from now on you can help us get there a bit more quickly.
How? The next time you make a vox.io call, you might be prompted to rate the call and check a few boxes indicating which points we need to improve your call. It is a super easy process that will take no more than 15 seconds to complete. We greatly appreciate your feedback and will act as quickly as possible to fix any holes in our system to make your calls sound even better.
