Call? Just vox.me

We’ve seen that you love our Quick Call links so we’ve decided to make them a bit funkier. First, we ditched our previous structure for Quick Call links (vox.io/qc/something) and changed them to vox.me/something. This way is not only easier but more straightforward. This wouldn’t have been possible without the tremendous help from our friends at .me. Thank you!

What more?

Until now, you have only been able to copy Quick Call links to your clipboard and then paste them into emails, Facebook messages and IMs. We now support 3 easy ways of inviting users to a Quick Call conversation: via email, and Google calendar, and our Facebook Send button.

The Google calendar option is particularly interesting- you are now able to super easily create a pre-populated Google Calendar event with a Quick Call link and afterwards invite people to the event via Google’s interface. It has never been easier to set up a set of distant meetings/conversations. And we promise, it will only get better.

How do we see people using Quick Call links?

We see our users utilizing the functionality in many different ways. For example, HR teams are now fetching Quick Call links to schedule all of their daily calls in a matter of a few clicks. No need to exchange usernames, no need to connect with everyone just to make a single call with them. Consulting professionals on social networks (such as Twitter and Facebook) are using it to post links to their follower base and offer free consulting calls to the lucky first caller. And, they can do it everywhere - as always with vox.io, calls get redirected to your mobile phones if you are not online.

What else? We are using Quick Call links to talk to our family members and friends who are not on vox.io yet. And maybe they never will be - that’s fine, it doesn’t matter with vox.io, because calling is now just a vox.me link away.
